Organizing an international match is massively, insanely complicated. And expensive. To have an alternate stadium booked for every single game, along with transportation for all teams and support staff, as a contingency is unrealistic both in terms of logistics and expense. People want transparency - okay, do you really want them to get into the weeds of how many doctors each game requires, and where they are physically in Japan right now, and what you'd need to do to get them to where they need to be for the games if you moved them? Because that is the level of detail it requires to move a match like this. Plus this typhoon is of an unimaginable scale. So not only would they need contingency plans, but they would need contingency plans for an unpredictable weather event.

People's expectations of World Rugby here are just so out of whack.
