/r/singapore random discussion and small questions thread for January 30, 2019

I'm fucking sick of CNY. I finally understand why my mother never wants to come back for CNY. I can't not visit relatives because my grandma is the oldest and everyone comes to my house.

I didn't even know that these relatives come every Sunday until I came back from my studies overseas. They come over, eat everything, shit in the toilet, and then run. Why do they come every week? Because before my third uncle got his new flat, he temporarily moved to my place, along with his massage chair. And they came over every Sunday to use it.

I really cannot stand these types of relatives (and I'm sure everyone has them). The kind of leeches that just take and take and take and take and take. The icing on the cake is that it is simply astounding that some people can call themselves 'retired', when they never work a day in their lives.

I know I can't really comment much as I'm of the 'younger' generation, and I'm unemployed myself, but it's not that I'm not trying. I'm still trying. And I help around the house in other ways besides finance. It's just that respect is earned and not given. They're not even worth face value to me anymore.

I'm just sad that I really opened my eyes only after my aunt passed away and these fuckers came to the house asking for 'children's storybooks' and using the toilet in the house instead of using the toilet provided downstairs at the void deck, and best of all calling me and POKING ME 4T5356263 TIMES WHEN I'M FUCKING SLEEPING AFTER I WAS UP THE WHOLE NIGHT
