cooking is such a fun activity but my mum (of all people, i know) makes it seem so dreary and tiring. i mean yeah cooking for family is different from cooking for yourself (tho i did prep food for myself and bro before so) but she just seemed so done with cooking.

for e.g she's cooking pasta today and instead of portioning the noodles to cook, she dumps all the pasta noodles into the pan and tries to cook all of it one-shot. I've told her many times that pasta should not be cooked that way but she finds it too 'tedious' so I'm just dying on the inside. it's supposed to be cream pasta but there's 0 sauce left when she's done cooking.

if she doesn't cook for the day, I'm not allowed to use the kitchen to cook for the fam, i can only cook stuff like mac n cheese or instant noodles for myself because she doesn't want me to dirty the kitchen. she'll just order takeout. hais I'm grateful for what she's doing but her stubbornness really can kill
