r/solotravel Town Hall Post!

I really appreciate it! The reason it's so bothersome (at least for me) is because it's super common for people with OCD (especially more milder forms) to misdiagnose themselves with anxiety because of how OCD is often caricatured in media and culture. It doesn't occur to many of us that we could even have OCD, because "symptoms" can present totally differently from common stereotypes. Managing anxiety vs. OCD takes different strategies, so this can be really harmful! Don't want to get to soapboxy, but I think most people probably wouldn't realize why. It's not that I'm offended, just that I don't want to perpetuate OCD stereotypes!

Anyway, thanks for being so open to feedback! I really think the mods do an excellent job in this sub!
