/r/teenagers advocates for domestic violence and abuse

While I agree with your point that de-escalating a potential domestic abuse situation should be the primary move, you seem to be completely missing my argument.

My point is that if a woman engages in physical abuse or violence against a male, which happens a LOT in our society, that he should be able to defend himself or fight fact.

The second point that I find disingenuous is the fact that you see the right of a man to defend himself from an abusive woman and a misogynistic fantasy. That is complete nonsense, no normal male wakes up fantasizing about the next opportunity he can get to hit a woman.

The fact that a woman can hit a man and can be immediately defended and portrayed as a victim with little to no context just shows how how skewed society is against men and this is evident with mainstream accusation scandals.

Abuse against man in western culture seems to be treated as a complete joke because they are portrayed as “tough” and “indestructible”. Rarely do you ever see a story in mainstream media about a male abuse victim.

Am I trying to undermine domestic abuse against females? No, it’s still a problem. My issue is that men are grossly misrepresented and undermined as abuse victims which is why male suicide rate is so high.
