/r/WorldNews Live Thread: Russian Invasion of Ukraine Day 12, Part 5 (Thread #121)

The West is a lot of things. It is former Eastern European countries that border Ukraine and will not be content to 'sacrifice' it. There is the EU, which has some conflicting interests but has been united in sanctioning Russia and providing support to Ukraine. It's also distant countries like the US and Canada, which have strategic interests and alliances to protect, and the economic resources to cripple the Russian economy, which is happening.

There's more than one way to support Ukraine and help them get Russia to retreat. I don't know what is sad and cowardly in all this. I see a lot of unity, and renewed support for NATO, the EU and mutual support of powerhouse nations to support Ukraine.
