But you're missing my point, which was some people forget about the message and focus on whether they spelled it out or not, OP said "most streams block out the n word", he didn't call anyone anything. You instead attacked him by calling him a coward and a bitch just because he didn't spell it out. Which side sounds more malicious?

no, YOU are missing my point he was using that word when attacking no one, which was the precise reason why i called him a coward for using the letter instead of the full word, i'm not saying for him to call people niggers, is that what you've taken away from what i have said or did you just feel to make that up? I'm not saying use that word always or else you're a coward i'm saying that in this context, there is no reason to, and to choose to use the initial over the full word in this context is breeding hatred, of the word itself a sort of censorship that will bring more harm to anyone who says it regardless of context or intent, and to breed that, which he does by using the initial is something that angers me very.

Civil human beings don't call others cowards and bitches because they choose not to spell out a word.

bitches? perhaps not. cowards? why the hell not? we don't critisize each other's behaviours in a civilized society now? is that what you think civilized means? to not offend anyone ever, even if justified? regardless, i think you're focusing too hard on the concept of civilized here and missing the point completely: censorship, why? we are not using the word offensively here as i said before the preference here is wether to spell out the word or not, he went halfway, he tried to say the word without saying it.

And yes, we can talk about the word, full or not, same audience, just a matter of preference on how we decide to display the word. And like you even said, you still know what it implies so where is the problem?

you keep ignoring everything i say don't you? for the third time in a row, yes he has a choice, what is the problem? the problem is that there is no reason to choose to spell out the "word" in the terms that he used because it isn't being used as a pejorative, and within that choice bears, what i consider, a character flaw, this hatred people think this word intrinsicaly means it's like people are afraid of using that word, and as seen here people are and will not use that word, and that angers me because to condone censorship is something that really puts me off, more so than the use of the word in its full extent, and when a word offends someone i can choose to not say it, and not simply cut the word in half so that i feel good about it when saying it even though it means the exact same thing, we can use that word freely and if we choose to, us, NOT the word in of itself, we can offend, and wether not someone feels uncomfortable hearing that word is a completely different argument, that's an argument about manners.

So again, if we look at OP's comment, he didn't direct it at anyone, and it is you complaining about him NOT spelling it out, so does this apply to you too?

the straw man on this one is ridiculous, no he didn't direct it to anyone THAT'S THE WHOLE FUCKING POINT, you think i had a problem with him if he called someone an "n-word" instead of nigger? is that REALLY how you thought of my argument after you read it? he isn't using the word in a pejorative manner which is why it angers me that he is using the initial, i'm not saying that i would be okay with if it he did use it on someone in its full extent, but i guess that idea is easier to attack than actually reading what i say and adressing it instead of some argument i apparently made in wonderfuckingland.

and it is you complaining about him NOT spelling it out, so does this apply to you too?

i am complaining about the fact that he didn't use the word in its full extent and also that people that complain about the fact that if it is used in its full extent directed at no one are stupid so i'm stupid? are in reverse land now?

If it makes someone feel comfortable to not say the word, why does it make you feel so uncomfortable?

already stated my case above

Some people don't like the word so much they won't say it, this way of thinking doesn't impose anything on anyone but themselves.

i am not critisizing the not use of the word, you have the choice of using whatever word you want or not, i am critisizing the use of the word in a veiled manner, he wanted to talk about the word but not say it, and that's what pisses me off, and maybe i wouldn't have to say this all again if you just read my first comment.

You call other's cowards for prescribing to that belief, that's a heavy word to call someone you hardly know anything about. Your line of thinking imposes on just about all those people. Are you sure you aren't on that high horse?

he acted cowardly in my eyes, he is a coward, that's how i adjectivize people, or do i call people cowards when they don't act cowardly now since in are in reverse land apparently?
