Radeon RX 7900 XT Raytracing Review

Copium is Reddit keep saying that rt is happening ‘today’ for 4 years now. Every time a rtx gen launches previous gen’s performance is suddenly considered a non starter, and nvidia will happily produce a demo, or push a revamped game that drives the point home by running half ‘decently’ only on latest and greatest - the problem is that price to perf is improving at a much slower pace than it ever did, and the trend is actually worsening at the high end of the market, courtesy of the duopoly, so the barrier to entry keeps being pushed higher and higher and we’re collectively sucking it up by buying increasingly more expensive cards. And so imo the problem with rdna3 isn’t that it’s bad in rt, it’s rt performance is decent for what the rt landscape is right now, the problem is that it’s ridiculously overpriced.
