Rage quits ain't cool

As a parent I have my kid play his games in the common area/living room. That way I can keep an eye on things and can be there to give advise or correct behavior in the moment. If he's getting frustrated I can offer the chance for a break, or if he throws his shit it's screens off and go do something outside.

When he's older (a teenager) he can do with his stuff as he wants, but until then he's supervised.

And that rule is in place for all screentime. Tablets, YouTube, online gaming, they all open the door for trouble if kids are left unattended. It's not the same as when I was kid playing Mario on the NES in the 80s in my room. Things are different now and a lot of parents don't get it.
