Railroad strike averted after marathon talks reach tentative deal | CNN Business

Same. The company I work for has paid medical leave available for anyone who needs it (and it's very common for people to use it, even for mental health purposes), as well as a number of other benefits like maternity and paternity leave, in-office general practitioners you can visit without a copay, a great PTO balance (I get six weeks next year), bereavement time, etc. I've never had a manager there tell me I need to drop my personal needs for work, even during times of year when we were getting slammed by work and every hand is needed.

I'm generally dismissive towards the idea of company loyalty, but you know what? If they're willing to put in the effort to make sure I'm taken care of, then I'll make the effort to do the best I can at my job.
