That no call cost the Pats a Super Bowl and possible Super Bowl threepeat which has never happened in the history of the NFL.

Most of you probably know how I reached this conclusion but for those who don’t this no-call cost the Pats the game, which in turn cost them home field advantage throughout the playoffs, which made them have to travel to Mile High for the AFC championship. For whatever reason the Pats have always struggled at Denver. They played a close game against the Broncos with a patchwork offensive line forced to go off a silent count due to crowd noise, which in turn allowed the Broncos already good pass rush to tee off on Brady. Patriots lose a close game they no doubt win at home and the Broncos go on to drub the Panthers in the Super Bowl, a game the Pats also likely win easily. Still grates at me to this day because I believe the Patriots were the better team that year and were that close to a possible 3 in a row. It also meant Peyton won the last game he played vs Brady and for the first time in his entire career gave him a .500 playoff record and eventually a winning playoff record by one game after winning the super bowl. This also provided Peyton the platform he needed to prioritize kissing Papa John and promoting Budweiser over praising and celebrating with his teammates and coaches. Yeah I’ve thought about this a bit.
