[Raleigh, NC] Defamation via Social Media

I'd like to thank you, King_Posner, for taking the time to continue the conversation. I've read countless subs on reddit over many years, but have never felt the need or desire to create an account and participate.

This situation has me at such odds and it has taken so much time over the past two months already, that I'm grasping at straws to make sense of my options. If I need to delete and re-post this topic in a much shorter format, I'm willing to do so if it means getting a broader range of responses.

Within the same line of thinking though, I expect questions will be raised, that will require me to type out the details again, as I did here in this thread. The core questions I asked at the bottom of the post, are yet to be addressed, but I understand that is my fault given the length of the post. Sorry for being new to what is an acceptable format / post length. I wish there a limited word count for /r/legaladvice that would by default force the foundational merits of the situation to be complied more succinctly. When it's your own life / world / reputation that hangs in the balance, it's easy to focus on the details of every second as you replay it in your mind on an endless loop. It's truly almost maddening. I do sincerely apologize for making it unnecessarily cumbersome to address, but that only makes me that more appreciative of your continued efforts. So sincerely, thank you, and know, it has never been my intention to belittle or come of as dismissive of your contributions.
