Sometimes stubbornness is it’s own reason.

I have a fundamental problem with the two party system, in that it seems to be producing the same results no matter who wins.

Yes, Republicans are actively undermining democracy. Meanwhile, the Dems do nothing to prevent it.

So in an ironic twist, voting for Dems is in essence just voting for Republicans to do what they want later on. As you say, voting for one is just voting for the other but spelled differently.

The net result is the country will continue to ignore basic human needs abroad and at home, will continue to enable oligarchs that fund politicians, and will continue to starve the poor and middle classes in favor of the wealthy.

The only way out is a third party. And clowns keep insisting third parties can’t win, making it a self fulfilling prophecy.

I won’t vote for a Republican and I won’t vote for another Democrat who will happily allow Republicans to get away with whatever they try.

If I die in the Climate Wars of 2045 having never seen a successful vote in my favor, at least I go out with some integrity.
