RANT:Getting really tired of people who think they're promoting keto, but are actually promoting an eating disorder.

Yes and because most of the world is on facebook makes it less trash? Same for twitter? Trash is trash, no matter how many people are on it.

I guess my point is that Facebook holds a large number of the population, and it is trash; therefore many, many people are trash.

You talk about side effects nearly no ones has. constant headaches? I'm on keto to cure chronic migraines. Guess what? It works! Vomiting? That is not normal keto either. Irritability? Dear there is no cure for being a bitch.

Obviously people do have them. Maybe they're doing it wrong, but I know I personally wasn't and I was vomiting daily.

So your doctor is not up to par. Been meaning to change? Why haven't you?

Been trying. I live in an area where the doctor-to-people ratio isn't great, and most docs I've found on my insurance are booked for the next few months. Including my current one. I can't even get a damn physical.

'Fad diet' keto has it's origine as medical treatments for neurological disorders (such as epilepsy) and was the treatment for type 1 diabetics before the invention and propagation of insulin. The amount of fat needed to treat these condition was extremely high (up to 90%) and is not how we do it. But it worked. And it is pretty old. I had a teacher who was on keto in high school. She had been on it for 40 years. Fad diets come and go and nobody hears of them ever again.

I'd personally consider anything a fad diet if there are enough people profiting off of it. You can't tell me with a straight face that there aren't tons of people being paid to promote keto. Not that I dismiss keto entirely, but it's certainly hyped up.
