[Rant] I just want to feel wanted by you, fellow teenagers (xpost from /r/suicidewatch)

Hey man, I'm sorry about your friend. Trust me when I say this. There are tons of people like you. Those people who are blocking you for no reason are not people you want to be around. You want to always surround yourself with positive people. I heard this advice a while ago and it's stuck with me. You are the average of the three people you hang around the most. If you go to a large public school, chances are there are a lot more people like you. Easiest way to find these people is joining clubs of interest as others said.

I'm not too sure what partner's club is, but it sounds like you are involved, which is a good thing! One thing you could try is being even more involved in this club for next year.

Rather than looking at what you don't have, always try and see everything with a positive outlook. This will also make you a really positive and likeable person. You have all A's! Good grades are so important, and you should be proud of yourself. Make sure that this remains your focus as this is so important junior year. Find a college you really like and start thinking about what you want to do in the future. Most people don't seem to stay super close to their high school friends, so don't worry, you have plenty of time to find good friends in college and later.

One thing that helped me make a lot of friends was volunteering. You get community service hours, you make friends, and you feel good. You should see what opportunities are available in your area. Two of my favorites are hospital volunteering and habitat for humanity. You have a nice car! If anyone needs a ride, hook them up! People will remember that. I made some friendships like that too.

You mentioned you want a hobby? It sounds like you do some python. Try and start a coding club at your school , start a personal project, or learn another coding language. Maybe try adding some modifications to your Mazda? Check out /r/Mazda or any Mazda3 forums if you're interested in learning more.

You have a lot to look forward to in life. High school's only a small part of the overall scheme of things, and I think you'll realize how insignificant it is in the future. You sound like a smart kid, and I'm sure you'll do well. Good luck, my man.
