Rant Wednesday

Thanks for the response. As for deadlift/squat issues, I've been doing back extensions and other things to try and strengthen my core. I was able to squat without any back issues last time I tried, but again all I have at PF is a smith machine so I try and avoid it and supplement with other things like pistol squats (I'm up to 3x in a row on each leg, ATG, while holding a 45lb plate!), 60lb weighted jump squats, leg extensions, but I know there's no real substitute for heavy barbell squats.
Deadlift, I don't know what my issue is. I really hope it's just form or my shoes or something. Last time I tried, even with the back work I've been doing, I couldn't even pull 2 plates and it hurt to try. I don't think it's a pump, as it lasts for days after.
