Raped, beaten and left for dead: Meet the Calgary woman police call a 'fighter'

My fiancé was sexually assaulted two years ago by a guy she was seeing, and considers her treatment by the CPS as traumatic as the assault itself.

-Two large, bored, armed male officers (she requested a female officer) taking her into a windowless room and checking her out while taking her statement? Check

-Detective asking her what she was wearing, was she drinking, does she consider herself promiscuous, is this they way she ‘usually liked’ sex (she was anally raped)? Check

-Two detectives putting her in the back of a car, driving her to an empty parking lot and then reading explicit texts back to her from the front seat for an hour? Check

-Detectives deciding that her accusations were ‘unfounded’ despite the guy having a history of questionable behaviour, despite her being in therapy and needing treatment for PTSD? Check

-Finding out that the lead detective and the rapist actually knew each other and didn’t disclose that little nugget? Check

Fuck the CPS. All of them.
