Ray Dalio AMA

Hi Ray I have nothing to ask. Just wanted to say thank you for your book. I read it back in January not really expecting anything specific and ended up being very struck by that notion of setting ambitious goals, iterative looping toward evolution, and rigorous honesty/reflection. It has helped me quite a bit in getting out of a professional rut, pushing myself to grow, and abandoning habits that (on reflection) are obviously a waste of time and energy.

Your comments about TM also prompted me to look into that, and I've been trying it just in a simple, self-directed way, and I was quite surprised by how rewarding it felt and how different it was from what I've always thought of as "traditional" meditation. I could never stand the whole notion of sitting bolt upright and trying to "soften my belly" and "feel the universe" or whatever, but I can actually accomplish TM and feel its benefits immediately.

So: thank you.
