It seems like there is a huge outpouring of love for BGs who aren't in the majority, whether that means not being conventionally attractive, being overweight, or a PoC. Then the second they do something moderately wrong, everyone is at their throat, ready to "cancel them". There are obviously people who deserve the backlash, like Jackie Aina when she made those horrible accusations against PettyPaige. But even then we get a lot of comments from people calling her tacky, ghetto, and other personal insults. Same with RBK, she was so loved before and now some people seem to be deeply affected by the fact that she only does first impressions. It's just weird compared to how a lot of other lack-luster or straight up offensive BGs are handled.
