The main counterpoint here is that most of the witnesses weren't asked until a considerably later time. Eyewitness/recollection testimony is shit because the human memory is garbage.
I mean, that's just not true. Adcock spoke to Aisha and Adan that day. Krista talked to Aisha and Adnan that day and affirms to this day that she remembers it.
Also, you can't use his initial statement as proof that it is a lie, because the reverse is equally possible, that he lied (or was incorrect) when he said he asked for a ride, then corrected himself when it mattered.
Now do Jay's police statements, his trial testimony, and his Intercept interview. This feels like a very convenient argument that is just letting you believe what you have predetermined to believe.
And it ignores Aisha and Krista, who corroborate the ride request *on the very day the request was made.*
