This is not how businesses work. Money isn't reserved from one section of sales for a certain cross section of costs. This is an incredibly naive view.

They do have to give a portion of ticket sales directly to studios, but remaining income from them go to paying bills, and then the rest goes to profits. This is the same for food, which has a MUCH higher margin.

I have no idea how you think the world works given your explanation. If they didn't sell enough tickets do you then think they don't pay their bills? Do you not realize labor (employees) are part of the bills (cost)?

I'm just stunned at the lack of realization of how businesses work on your end.
