I re-seeded my lawn again.

Right, but that doesn't negate the fact that people can and should use less water. Wtf is the point dumping a bunch of fresh water on the ground to grow plants that offer absolutely no use beside creating an itchy surface to sit on. Lawns are some of the least natural things on the planet. When someone orders a roll of it it's held together by a plastic net that's not bio degradable but gets planted anyway. It constantly needs maintenance with cutting, usually meaning a lawn mower with oil and gas being wasted and the noise pollution. Uses up land that could be used to grow food... and in turn would mean less need for big ag and less need for them to water their crops. In turn using less fossil fuels to get food from farm to table.

Look, the fact remains that there are more people in this state and a greater demand on on the water reservoirs than ever before. With higher temperatures, more water is evaporating faster. The point is to think about what you dump your fresh water on. Every penny counts as it were. I mean have you seen Shasta Lake? Go ahead and shower regularly, that water will probably get recycled in your local city water system but just poring it on the earth to make some useless plants grow is a complete waste of resources.
