Read a tweet that said something along the lines of "I swear some men are jealous of the women they are attracted to and are obsessed with making them feel small in order to feel better about themselves.'" I've never heard anyone else express this, but I feel this very strongly. Anyone else?

This is why this fucking sub is toxic. Its so painfully obvious that all these ideas come from women who have no idea what its like being a man.

The reason men feel the need to be needed instead of just being wanted is because the idea that anyone would actually care about you because they like you is so alien to most men. We are raised in way to internalise that we dont have any inherent value. We have to prove it in some way. By being succesfull. Smart. Confident and funny etc.

Stop trying to blame this on some vague unspecified "male ego". None of you fucks have any idea what you are talking about. Instead, start telling men and boys that they are wanted just the way they are. They dont have to prove anything. They are just as valuable, beautiful and desired as women are.

If you are tired of your partner wanting to prove his worth to you, convince him he doesnt have to.

This is why feminism fucking sucks for mens issues. Its so obvious that it lacks any kind of male perspective. Its a fucking epedemic of emotional neglect among young boys. We as a culture still view men as dangerous, disposable and ugly. And instead of trying to fix this, you just get a bunch of white, middle class, 20 year old karens who actually think they understand the lives of men complaining online.
