Is reading your favorite hobby? Why or why not? Why do you enjoy reading?

I can't say it's my favorite. It's a big one, but I don't really consider my consumption habits hobbies. I'm not looking to get into a quibble over the definition of a hobby, this is just true for me personally.

I read more than I play video games, and I play more than I watch movies or shows. They're all my little consumption comforts, but I don't usually talk about them first when asked what I do or like to do.

If I had to stack my doings against each other, the ones where I am making or doing things would probably win out. Like baking, knitting, or collecting flowers and leaves to press.

Reading comes when I am on my arse with flour in my hair and got mud on my boots.
