Real estate agent continuing inspections after we have paid bond+2 weeks

Oh man, sympathies for the stress. Hopefully your contract questions are answered first thing Monday and/or you decide you're happy to sign and it all goes off without a hitch.

Couple of years back, I was driving home from a Saturday morning inspection of an absolute dump that was basically falling down in parts and still nearly $400 a week. I drove past a beautiful character cottage on a tree-lined street, with a for lease sign, and a queue of people stretching two blocks away! Popular was an understatement! I Whatsapped my friends to make a joke about the contrast. And my INTERSTATE friend said that they'd leased that place during the week, sight unseen, and were moving in in a few weeks. So all of those poor people were lining up, totally unaware they were just going to be back-up applicants. Or maybe even more cynically: names on a contact list for the agency to use in the future or sell to third parties! It's terrible out there.
