Just going to point out that it has one of the highest if not the highest death to kill ratio of any tank ever made. The only reason its iconic is because there were so many made and deployed. It did not run well, it's armor and design was subpar for the time (theres a reason it was nicknamed "Tommycooker" and "ronson", a quickstart lighter), and even with the upgraded 76mm gun it had a hard time knocking out the panzers effectively. I personally think the U.S. could have done better. Just as a fun fact, the t-34 was designed by an American who tried to get the U.S. to use his design. When the U.S. opted for the Sherman, he sold the design to the Soviets. If you look at soviet tank designs up to that series, they're mostly shit.
