Is This Real Life?

Seriously watch Resistance, it's amazing and it doesn't look cheap. That's just the artstyle

I have to disagree with everything you wrote about Resistance. Sorry, not only is the artstyle pretty bad (the animation looks stilted and ugly so often, and the character designs themselves leave much to be desired), the overall story and characters are also reprehensible. Kaz is one of the worst Star Wars protagonists ever, only rivaled by Rey (It's so weird, they are two sides of the same coin of badly written lead. She's perfect at everything, he sucks at everything.). Nearly every episode has the same storyline: Kaz sucks at being a mechanic/racer/spy, 'hilarity' ensues because of this. The character of the day is either nice and wins his trust then betrays or otherwise screws him over OR it's about Torra's father being suspicious and he has to 'investigate' (the only exceptions have been the episode with the two little kids, and Yeager's brother, the latter being a piece of shit that is heavily implied to have sold out Yeager's family and got them killed...). First Order lurking around, not doing much of note, and being ominous (exception being the last episode with Poe where they sort of do some shit but it feels so anti-climactic). Characters are blatant assholes for no good reason. Each episode storyline is uber simplistic; full of bad jokes, contrivances, and anti-climax. I hate the way they've utilized the likes of Poe and Phasma, but then again, they do align with their portrayals in TLJ (former being a 'hothead' who won't listen to anyone, and the latter being essentially worthless).
