Real life anecdotes about cricketers. The good and bad blokes.

So in 07 World Cup I happened to stay at the same hotel as all the players. This was the greatest experience of my life even tho we crashed and burned in the match

-bumped into Dravid multiple times in the elevator and stuff. He was a class act, gentleman through and through

-Dhoni even back then had tons of fan fare around him. He wasn’t captain or anything then, just a swashbuckling player. Nice guy

-chatted for a LONG time with Mahela, Sanga. Malinga and his trainer were super nice. The trainer sledged by 13 year old ass, said that I had come “a long way to see my team lose”. Savage!

-Sachin was very nice. He only ate fruits for breakfast, nothing else

-heard Kumble tell one of the managers this was going to be his last World Cup while at breakfast, was sitting next to him

-yuvi, Bhajji just flew in and out didn’t interact much with fans

  • zaheer, agarkar, Munaf all very nice; I remember Munaf being very tall. Sreesanth probably the nicest tbh - asked a lot about me and wrote my name and a nice message in the autograph. Sad to see what ended up happening to him

-ganguly was a baller

-got a sig from Dwayne Leverock the fattest cricketer ever

There’s a ton more. Highlight of my childhood
