Real thoughts about women in engineering?

what do you really think about women in your engineering classes?

everyone is basically learning the material for the first time so everyone is equally screwed( doesn't hurt to read ahead :D ). I had more than one group based project with women. I didn't feel differently about it. we worked well together.

make sure you take the advice of going to wece and/or IEEE events. look into swe too. maybe you end up liking software more. it'll give you good info about your major from the upperclass. ece is hard, but worth it. it's good to go to meet new people in your classes, who could help you down the road. also you won't feel like you're going through the whole undergrad/ECE experience by yourself. As a minority, I felt I could count on my hand the number of people in my major that looked like me. I often felt alone. It was very important to me to build a group of friends(which ended up being a diverse group) that I could go work hard , but smart, with.
