Realistic daily writing goal / tips for being productive when writing?

I understand but the music business is just as hard, if not, harder to achieve financial stability with. (Being in an original band playing your own songs) I'm not sure how one could compare the two in terms of how difficult it can be.

But I have achieved that goal regardless of a degree. Now I am able to make my own hours (if I'm not on tour) and it opens up a ton of time for me to work on writing -another of my dreams.

I don't know where being a "rockstar" ranks as far as jobs go but signing autographs, taking pictures with people, and playing songs you wrote yourself in front of thousands can't be beat. It's like being a star athlete without a high risk for injury.

That being said, I would have never achieved it if I'd taken time to focus on school. School had to take a backburner and I threw myself 100% into my passion, it was the only way. In fact, I was negotiating a record contract on my phone in classes as well as taking calls and leaving the class when they were important.

All I'm trying tp say is that I see no problem with school being a plan B. Sure, go to school so you have something to fall back on, but if you want to make it in a lucrative, creative field, you need to go all in because there are tons of people who do. If you don't, then you are just that much more behind your competition.

Ps. I still got my degree and have something to fall back on of I decide to use it. But it always has only been a Plan B. Thus, leaving me the attention and time required to achieve my Plan A.
