Is it really that bad?

I'm just done with doing unnecessary things just to please people. I've been there working my ass off on the weekend for a new feature, only to find out they didn't even bother using it on Monday, even though the people requesting it said it was required by Monday.

My partner is also in the same business and he's a lot more attached to his work than i am, he's on the artists side of the pipeline. I get it, for the artists it's their art and passion, maybe it's a little different for tech ops side.

But the rest of it applies, don't bend over backward if its not part of your contract.

Show runners don't learn unless contractors stand up for their own rights. If you're working 20+ hours just so some other person can use your work to 'smooth' things out and you're not even sure if it's required , you're not gonna get the benefit of that.

It's lost time , lost money(for some) and not worth your well-being. Especially important in these current times.
