I really do hope Valve refrains from turning this into a RNG clownfiesta.

People need to chill about this.

When Valve decides it wants to do esports, it does them better than anyone. Look at CS:GO and DotA2. Both shining examples.

Can you spend a lot of money on it? Yes. Does that improve your game? Not at all.

I don't see any reason Artifact is going to be any different. They clearly want a bit of this Card Game esports pot, so they're going to come in with their model and take over.

We'll all have all the cards. We'll buy shinies, card backs, music packs, terrain, all the stuff we do in DotA.

Maybe, instead of cosmetics changing how a hero looks they will change the visuals of spells, immortal item style.

Im hyped to find out. But for sure i trust Valve to implement it in the best was possible.
