I really like Doctor Bashir

for better or worse he was willing to sacrifice his career to save "100 billion lives" and end the Dominion war.

I cannot agree with this statement. He was willing to sacrifice the entire Federation for 5 (I think) generations due to his and a group of institutionalised persons arrogant belief that they could see the bigger picture better. I don't think that there's any proof that 100 billion did die before the end of the war.

To add to his plain arrogant nature, Jadzia rightfully points out that a disease is not un curable simply because HE cannot cure it.

Let's not forget when they were searching for Sisko and the Defiant had strict orders to return in time to escort a couple of thousand troops through the badlands. After Kira orders them back at the deadline he tries the convince them to ignore said orders and says something to the tune of "Well I didn't here that"

These 3 reasons alone are why I don't like him as he thinks all his decisions are the right ones when they very clearly are not.

I can forgive his early season sex pest actions as and naivety. I will not forgive this so called superior intellect being completely unself aware with mindless interpretations of kira's meditation and being played like a fiddle by section 31 on Romulas.

Definitely not in my top 3 doctors I'd sooner have Polaski with me.
