I really want to text her. We were toxic, and I know that we were both not mature enough for the relationship and to handle each other's needs. She treated me unfairly.

But, I'm not going to text her. Why? Because it'll start that toxic cycle again and it ends in getting hurt. I just want her to care about me too - but I know she doesn't. She didn't care about putting in effort before - and she wouldn't now.

There's better people out there. I know you want to feel that connection again, in any way, even if that hurts you. But I want to tell you that it isn't worth the pain. You know you won't get a response. Let that person go. If you want to talk, my PM's (or Reddit chat) are open.
