Really though, why the John Farrell Hate?

Because as a manager, he's absolutely horrible (like, literally the worst). I would rather have any manger in MLB other than this guy. I've always felt that when the Sox have won anything, it's always in spite of him, rather than anything he's actually doing.

I know people say he's great at managing the "clubhouse"... OK, great. Even if that is true (which I doubt), while that is certainly important, so is actually winning games. He's single-handedly lost this team several games over the past few seasons, which is pretty damn big when the standings always come down to just a game or two.

Also, I have a hard time believing he really is as "loved by the clubhouse" as people always say. Every time a player ends up as the victim of one of his bone-headed decisions, I have a hard time believing that player (or other players) don't lose some respect for him and think it's a joke that the guy is actually a manager. After a while, that has to have some cumulative effect on the chemistry/morale of a team.

Just my opinion. But it is an opinion shared by many others, so I'm not just bashing him for no reason. I'm sure he's probably a nice guy, but as a manager, he sucks. Why couldn't they have kept Torey Lovullo...???? sigh.
