Is it really worth the 4 years to obtain a Degree?

The decision has to be left to you, but you can listen to different perspectives. Here is one: the degrees that will always land one with a good if not, lucrative, job, are: law, medicine, architecture, accountancy. All these require specialized knowledge and, therefore, command a premium in the job market. Engineering, business, and arts & social sciences degrees are not in the same category, unless they are used as a stepping stone to getting a doctorate and a job in academia. When a few years ago a friend told me that he was contemplating doing a part-time MBA I advised him against saying that MBAs are very commonplace and there would not be value-added for him. He proceeded with the degree but after he completed it, he has remained in his same job. It didn’t help.

So, here the distinction is having a qualification (a degree), on the one hand, and having specialized knowledge, on the other.
