What did Michelle Obama say? “I have been at just about every table of power, corporate boards, non-profits, the UN. The secret is … they are not that smart” Same goes for these two cronies.

Or entertaining. Not exactly an atmosphere ripe for creativity.

I used to work at a very expensive country club on the North Shore of Long Island, and sometimes worked at house parties for them. These were some of the most boring conversationalists I've ever come across, generally. And I'd spend all day with them. Caddying etc. Superficial, vacuous, dick measuring nonsense. Started working there when I was pretty young - not that far from high school. Driving their Porsche's and Ferrari's was a treat, but Jesus what a boring and pretentious atmosphere.

Pretty eye opening at that age to find out these were the dullards at the "top" of society. People dream of "making it" and entering that world, but it really ain't all that exciting.
