  • Gwuncan broke up a while ago so Megan's preference shouldn't really matter anymore from a PR perspective.

  • Megan's voice likely didn't fit this drastic reinterpretation of Gwen's character, and/or didn't fit the voice of a toddler.
  • She still cameoed as adult Gwen in DramaRama and as Jen in the 6teen reunion, so her relationship with Fresh wasn't terminated. They're still on good terms.
  • If the original show ended years before any of this, was Megan really "fired"? At best you could say she auditioned for a completely new show and didn't get the part. Which isn't exclusive to Megan; Brian Froud was let go as Harold for the same reason. They were called to audition because they played the teenage versions, but that same spark wasn't there for the toddler versions according to the casting directors.

I know Gwuncan haters are a stubborn bunch but holy cow.
