Reason number ∞ why I can't be on the family group chat:

So I'm guessing she doesn't believe adults are allowed to have fun or enjoy anything in life? I wouldn't listen to her nonsense. Guess she's never heard of toy collecting, either, almost all of whom are adults. And LEGOS are great!

Been dished out the same nonsense by my mother about my re-ment collecting and interest in "kawaii" things (usually using these for my DIY projects), like fabric with drawings on them, and why should I buy any of these things because I don't have children? I outright told her because I like these things, and have a right to enjoy them. Why do kids only get to have fun? In fact, a majority of people who buy re-ments, for example, are adults, and there's even a warning on the box that clearly states not intended for children because the parts are so small. Besides, even if I had a kid, which I definitely don't, I would give them something more low-quality and suited for playing, like a regular stuffed animal or cheap doll or something, because kids tend to be careless with their things and not put too much on sentimental value, also because the items and toys I purchase are from overseas and tend to be expensive, so I can't fathom ever giving them to a child. But how hypocritical of her because she wants to start a Barbie doll collection and sees nothing wrong with adults enjoying that.
