Rebuffing Prime Minister's Order to Stay in Class, Australian Students Forge Ahead With #ClimateStrike Walkouts: "We're at the stage where we can't vote and by the time we're in power, it's going to be too late to start making change."

Sorry to double post, but to my point: Follow some people who are outspoken about this particular protest. See what they do, what they buy, what jobs they get. That's a monumental task I don't actually expect anyone to do. But keep it in mind. The intention of the protest is beautiful. It's what the world needs. But it's word service. What are these kids going to do with their lives after this protest? Are they going to make the actual changes int heir personal lives to affect climate change, or are they going to talk about it and continue to live their lives as most people in a modern society do?

Are they going to go to a major grocery store and buy food when they are in college? At the age of thirty I finally started sourcing my meat from a local farm and butcher, and that shit was hard to accomplish. Convenience is going to kill the actual progress of this movement.
