If you are not sure what exactly this means, please understand that your internet provider will be able to sell your entire internet history to anyone with the money. Yes, that does mean we could pool money together and buy Politician's private internet history as well. However, this is incredibly invasive.

I've seen this said before, but it seems weird to me. Is this rule change just allowing the ISPs to sell data, or is it forcing them to?

If the former, which seems likely, why would anyone assume that the ISPs would sell data on particular users to just... anyone? Wouldn't they be more​ likely to sell huge blocks of data, to major marketing/advertising/consumer "research" firms?

On another note, I'd recommend a concise "call to action" in your post. r/esist, to say nothing of their politics, suggests the app & website https://5calls.org/. It streamlines finding your representatives (or the best people to call), and gives you a script. They can't help with a recall, but nothing in your post grabs the attention of the reader and says: "do this particular thing"
