The recent “protests” across the nation should show you why you should be afraid of the media’s influence.

I don't know about unconscious fears. That's a lot of mind reading and the racism derived from these killings probably has more to do with your bias and the need to confirm your belief that black people are hunted than with what is actually within the minds of the cop that is killing someone.

They also have qualified immunity, which allows them to go home while these incidents are investigated thoroughly. That's why they aren't fired or arrested right away. The cops that clearly had no justification to use deadly force, get punished.

I agree that there needs to be a change when it comes to the "justified" killings. For example, I don't think a cop should be allowed to shoot an unarmed person just because they are attacking the officer. They can use non-deadly methods. However, when this happens (Michael Brown for example) it's really a leap to say that it was racism.

And Jaden doesn't necessarily go to prison because there is a strict no snitching policy in all inner cities. Anyone turns Jaden in and they're likely to be killed by other gang members. Street justice is the reason why we have so many cops on high alert at all times.

Something within Urban culture has to change in order for policing to change.

But no one will march in the millions to protest gang violence. I would love to see their places of operation burned down in protest. That would be justified rioting that hurts the people they're protesting, unlike the innocent businesses that did nothing to deserve what's happening.
