[recommendation] my 15 year old son wants a watch for his birthday. I know nothing about watches. I don't want to get him a super expensive one because hes 15 but I also don't want to get him a crap one any suggestions?

I wouldn't want an old man watch when I was 15

I would have wanted a military styled watch and I probably would have found titanium cool back then too.

But I have always loved the speedy look and I feel like alot of guys do also.

Chronographs are cool. I couldn't one that was small enough to recommend for myself when I was 14 though. I don't remember how big I was then (I didn't wear a watch), but I am bigger, and I'm not very big now, so it must be smaller than I think.

A seiko 809 is a decent auto like others suggested but it's kinda bland for a 15 year old in my mind

If one can find it for $50, the price where its popularity grew, it may be a good choice. But for the nearly $100 it goes for now...it is way overpriced.
