Recommendations for Dog Adoptions

Literally the worst adoption center I've ever been to, and I've had 6 cats and 5 dogs from different shelters throughout my life with no issues.

The amount of hoops they make you jump through is actually insane. Multiple home visits, phone calls, an interview in front of a board, an absolute novel of a pre-screening questionnaire requiring you to catalogue every potential minute of your pet's day for an entire month. Also insanely expensive adoption fees.

After, they have the audacity to send me tearjerker emails about how I should donate or else someone's going to get sent to a kill shelter since they have no room. Maybe if they actually adopted pets out they wouldn't have that issue.

My wife and I were actually trying to adopt an old highschool friend's dog who was sent there many years ago by her friend's insane mother, but they just wouldn't let us. He ended up dying there since no one else wanted a 13 year old dog except us. Still makes me mad that he couldn't have a nice home to enjoy his last bit of time in.
