Recommendations for getting better at lyricism?

Tbh I think lyrics are the least important thing, at least from an emo perspective. There’s something to be said for BLAs knack for capturing youth and growth in their lyrics, but you look at Cap’n Jazz and Tim wrote everything in one night on shrooms. I guess what I’m saying is you’ll find the right words to say the right things at the right time. Writing will def get you more practice at coming up with stuff. I honestly try to just write about my day. Emo is also a genre where it is very easy to get pigeonholed into one type of lyricism. I think most third wave emo is a good example of that. I guess just broaden what you’re writing about, listening to, reading, watching. Just keep observing. That’s what writers do. They observe and make words out of it
