Recruiting for Consulting? Post here for recruitment advice, resume reviews, questions about offers/firms or general insecurity (7)

Hi! I hope this is the right place to ask this question.

I'm a US citizen at a target school—and recently received an offer from a big 4 firm in the Middle East (for their Dubai office). I haven't gotten anything in writing yet, so I still have a lot to review in terms of compensation and such once I do (so I may be posting again soon).

I am interested in going international, but not permanently. My question is mainly in regards to getting a consulting job in the US after a few years of experience in the Middle East with a big 4 firm.

Will it be more difficult as the experience wasn't in the US, or will it not matter as much? If anyone could provide insight into how easy it may be to transfer within the firm to a US office from the Middle East that would also be greatly appreciated. I know there isn't one exact answer, but I'm mainly just looking for overall advice as it is a big decision.
