Red Dead Redemption 2 is a surprising departure from the regular R* formula

This sounds like damage control because rockstar slipped up and over animated the game, making some strange hybrid between an action game and a walking simulator.

You say Far cry's execution was poor and this RDR2's execution was good? The reason's people were frustrated by Far Cry 2 and the reasons they are frustrated with RDR 2 are not even remotely along the same line. Its completely worthless to compare the two.

  1. RDR 2 is cool to look at, but considering its still not as graphically impressive as games we've been playing on PC, this wears quickly.

  2. It's just not fun at all. When the actions the player does in a game is not fun, the game fails at being a fun game.

  3. Spider Man was fun. Assassins Creed Odyssey was fun. Just Cause 4 looks to be fun. I'll take these any day over a clunky, slow, overly animated bore fest with horse balls and a bunch of animals I don't care about.
