Red Dead Redemption 2 PC Trailer

It really depends on how much dollar value you place on the hours of your time, and how tolerant you are to delays from bad components.

In the past couple decades I've built about a dozen PCs for myself and another dozen for various friends, but two PCs ago I bought one pre-assembled and tested because I wanted to know for sure that I could use it that weekend, and have been through plenty of RMA cycles on DOA parts.

It's fun to build a PC, but it's not fun to see an almost fully-assembled one sitting on your desk for a month because you got shipped a bad CPU, and had to wait for the replacement to come before you can find out the RAM is bad too and have to wait another week because you couldn't test the RAM without a CPU.

I'm for building your own in general, but I don't have any tolerance for the zealots who assume you're a rube for buying a pre-assembled one without examining the reasoning for your decision.
