Red Orchestra 2- MG-42 Wehrmacht Workhorse

I have been playing with you several times before on multiple servers, I've seen your tutorials and I appreciate your videos. However I want you to take a moment and think about what you're actually doing here.

Red Orchestra 2 is broken, it is not balanced anymore. This is not because of the Mg42 although it has something to do with it. Due to more interesting weapons and for other reasons the majority of veteran players have always sided with Axis. Unless playing on Pavlov's House Allies usually had a harder time to attack or defend because of that. With the update that brought us the Mg42 this problem has become worse. Especially high ranked players (honor 70+) wanted to try the Mg42 because it was new, it was fresh, it was fun. Unfortunately it is not fun for everyone. As great as it sounds, as nice as it looks and as vicious it seems, it is an unnecessary update to the former best machine gun in the game, the Mg34. Experienced players can use it more effectively than even a PPSH since you don't have to aim down sights to be accurate at ranges up to 30m. Hipfiring is incredibly easy since it has barely any spread and since you're seeing exactly where the shots go, I would compare it to a laser beam instead of an actual machine gun. When the MG42 rolled out, myself and the majority of higher ranked players went on Axis only (otherwise known as the infamous Staxis [Stacking Axis]. Playing as Allies became increasingly frustrating, every map was dominated by a stacked Axis team with fully upgraded Mg42s. This turned into a virtuous circle as more and more good Allies players moved to Axis because losing 80% of all matches is not fun.

I've been playing a lot of RO2 lately, 90% on the Allied side because Axis always seem to be in the lead. The Allied team mostly consist of level 30 Squad- and Teamleaders not knowing what to do. Every Axis player I shoot is about level 80+. Last night I've reached the point where I got so salty because of my team that I switched sides and joined Axis for the rest of the match. Allies got obliterated as usual, my Squad had not a single player below level 70 while the Allied Squad I was in had only a single player above 70, myself. The two squads were about the same size. The game is broken because the players decided to break it. I've reached a point where I get so frustrated playing RO2 that I can't even finish a single match because of actual ragequitting since my team either doesn't listen to the few high ranked players left or because of incredible Axis stacking, all equipped with Mg42s. I'm sick of it.

Myself and a few other players have actually decided to stop using the Mg42, the Mg34 already is a lot stronger than the Allied machine gun and it doesn't belong to the scenario of Stalingrad anyway. Since Tripwire doesn't seem to worry about the issue and buff the Mg42 (for example make you unable to fire while moving [seen on Reddit a few days ago], we have to do it ourselves and switch back to the Mg34.

With all that in mind, here's what I want you and every other high ranked player who reads this to do: If you join a game where Allies are already behind on tickets, time or objectives, don't make it worse. Join Allies, it's not as fun unless we're lucky but Axis stacking makes people leave the game. Not just the round, the match or the campaign, they quit the game in general and play something else. Some servers like 40:1 warn about this in the chat but apparently no one cares since Allies are losing 80% of all games.

You don't believe me? You've got an example here. Look at the end of the match. Allies reinforcements hit 0, Axis were at still 177. That's was not a balanced match and that's what happens in 80% of all matches I've played in the last few weeks. You may say that I sound butthurt. That's because I am. The game has become extremely frustrating, it is not fun anymore.

I'm not blaming anyone specific, even I was part of the problem myself. You may have fun for a while moving down hundreds of inexperienced players with an overpowered weapon but Axis stacking and the overused Mg42 ruin the experience for half of the server, the Allies.
