Yeah, going in, I felt they owed me a movie that explained how Neo was able to kill sentinels at a distance, while not plugged in to The Matrix... Why he was able to see machine shit while blinded, how a program was able to get inside a human, like the Agents took over Matrix NPCs (Non protagonist characters).

I was excited that they would piss off the fandom by saying: "Of course, we never escaped the Matrix. The struggle for Zion, and the hellscape earth was just another layer of control to make us miss being in The Matrix." The first level of control had green tint filters in the Matrix, and green Japanese? Code. The second level of control [The "real" world] had some amber themes, and old amber-screen coloured code. Amber and Green monochrome screens were both heavily in use back in the day... So I thought there was a Full Color CGA / MCGA / VGA display around the corner, where they could actually exist in living color in the real-real world...

And all these plot holes that could have been easily retconned into Matrix 4, were just left like big ol' shitstains, skidmarks from wiping your arse with the plot. I felt a bit cheated, but knew I should expect so from the hermetic cultists seduced by the all seeing eye (WatchOutSki). Ugh, the lame name game... On an esoteric level, there was not much to appreciate. If they wanted to be revolutionary it would have bucked the same old Mysteries Babylon / Fight Club, "Civilization must end, so we can REbuilt Back Better!" And instead deployed some common sense Druid magic of iteration and insitu alchemical quest for purification via continual refinement.

Instead it was of course the same old occult garbage in the subtext. Watch Serial Experiments Lain if you want a better subtextual occult dialogue - it's meant as a rebellion against the western occult, and makes lots of funny in-jokes while criticizing the doings of many secret clubs.

I'll have to watch Resurrections again, because much of the plot was describe by "whisper girl", who can't annunciate to save her life and should never act again until she learns to speak. Mumble mouthed weirdo, I just gave up whenever she was saying anything... her face was like, "Oh Wow! Look, here's this interesting.fact..thht.u..kant...hear..bcz..mmblbn."
